Just want to make sure.

Hey group. I only had oral sex with another guy. He went down on me. It was in a club. I was a bit drunk and he did do some recreational stuff. But it was only oral sex. There was a bit of blood on his lip and in his teeth outlining the gums. He tried to go back down but I had him stop there. But he did go down on me for maybe 1 to 2 minutes. Should I be worried?

As our members have accurately expressed, oral sex is not a risk for HIV transmission. We are now closing this discussion.

You had no risk so a test would be a waste of time.
HIV is instantly inactivated in air and also in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. It doesn't matter if you and they were actively bleeding or had cuts at the time either because the HIV is effectively dead.
Only 3 adult risks are the following:
1. unprotected penetrating vaginal with a penis
2. unprotected penetrating anal sex with a penis
3. sharing needles that you inject with. Knowing these 3 are all you need to know to protect yourself against HIV. The situation you describe is a long way from any of these 3.
Even with blood, lactation, cuts, rashes, burns, etc the air or the saliva does not allow inactivated virus to infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established so there is no detail that you can add that will make your encounter a risk for HIV. No one got HIV from the situation you encountered in 40 years and likely no one will in the next 40 of your life, and doctors have calculated that there is less likelihood of HIV transmission happening than of you getting hit by a meteor as you read this.

Ok then. That’s um pretty detailed. I’m just nervous because I got sick and I’ve been sick for a few weeks and I’m sore in some areas. I cough mucus but I’ve been doing that for a few years now. It’s almost like I’m allergic to something. Idk, I’m just at a lost there. Just wanted to get advice on what you experts think. I like to have fun just like everyone else but this gentleman went from ok to bloody nope...

Just clarifying I’m good to go!?
A major source of colds are because people cough on your lips and door knobs so they are always unexpected. Therefore you can't relate them to any disease you don't you have.
Ok, thanks! Is it ok to be nervous about this?
Prolonged anxiety is a painful mental illness so if you can't accept the HIV science, consider a therapist to relieve the pain by resolving your fears.
