do a test @ 6 weeks to help relieve some anxiety .... then the conclusive test @ 3 months , if negative at six weeks it`s a good indication , 3 months will be the conclusive test
this past friday i went to the doctor about the pains in my muscles they gave me muscle relaxer which is working but on the side of my tongue by my last tooth on the left side still have a pinkish bump.i feel mild pains on the left side of mouth and under my jaw.my doctor didnt feel any lumps and also said it looks like i bitten my tongue. Im confused does have anything to do with hiv infection or anxiety? i feel like something is caught in my throat,my eating habits have become less than normal because of it and loss of weight. is it true that hiv-1(just for virus) test come back negative after one month does that mean that i have not been exposed to the virus?
thanks alot...i hope the best for you as well
Although my situation was a bit different than yours, I did go through very scary symptoms but then realized that many of them were more related to stress than anything else. I got a 6 week negative and then a 9 week negative, and felt a lot better after both tests, specially after the 6th week one 90% of the symptoms magically dissapeared and magically came back the night before I got the 9th week result.
Hope this helps, Im still waiting to get tested on week 13 though, I bet the symptoms come back the night before.
Negative on an STD panel and 3 weeks HIV test is encouraging. In a lot of cases, HIV is transmitted with other STDs and remember HIV is a much fragile virus compared to the other STI causing infectious agents. Hence, a negative STD panel is encouraging. However, you need to re-test at the 12th week for a conclusive result. Should you have bouts of anxiety taking a toll over you. A 6 week testing can be very indicative, and it changing ahead is very unlikely.
Also, all the symptoms you mention are very unspecific to HIV and more specific to anxiety.
Good Luck.
Probably this is anxiety, and if you investigate extensively about symptoms you will eventually somatize some. I advise you to test doing at 6 weeks and again at 12 weeks to confirm the results of the first.
Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive.
