HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
So the fact that the other guy didn't use a condom and may have had some left over blood and secretions on his penis doesn't increase the risk?
( I used condoms for penetration but not for oral )
been up all night worried sick about all this
You did not penetrate anybody's rectum or vagina unprotected during the events you describe. And so you could not have a risk for HIV transmission.
thanks for the info.
would you still get tested after this encounter?
Thanks for the response. I'll try and calm down and sleep.
