Thank you doctor i will put all this behind me and move on with my life thank you very much
Welcome to our Forum. There are two parts to consider in answering your questions, first, what was the risk of your exposure and second, when will the test provide reliable results. I will briefly address both questions.
The risk of the encounter you describe, receipt of oral sex, frottage and protected genital sex is virtually zero. You do not know that your partner had HIV and statistically it is unlikely that she was. Further, HIV is not transmitted by frottage and the risk of both oral sex and condom protected genital sex is likewise very, very low. Thus, we would not typically even recommend HIV testing related to encounters of the sort you describe because the risk is so very low. Thus you are not testing for a good medical reason but to give yourself peace of mind.
With regard to test performance, the Clearview test is a test for HIV antibodies. HIV antibodies detect between 90 and 95% of recent infections at the time you tested. Thus, if you were at risk the test would be strong but not definitive evidence that you were not infected. The results would be definitive at 8 weeks. In your case however, at this time, given the information you have provided, your risk for infection is less than 1 in a million. This is certainly not something to worry about.
