Back in Jan 2012 , I was tested , because of oral sex as well , and indeed was negative. since then I received about 1 - 2 minutes oral sex from woman and gave her very short oral at the clitoris. I do not have intercourse with anyone , over the last several 4+ years, even then was always protected. But I do get Happy endings (hand) at oriental MP's. very rarley. I read the responses and will feel better for a time , never internet search symptoms, but then will see things about oral like , 'almost no one", ''virtually' impossible, 'doesnt stand a chance' , etc. seemingly not definitive , And that along with the feeling of a slight swelling at the ball of my left foot for a while , A couple pimples on my arms , an occasional watery stool and it hits me again "what if", I dont know what to do as I am still very afraid to test , and its seems to be a never ending cycle. I have no one to talk to and come here asking for some comfort and reassurance. I try to think rationally , would anyone here (expert/DOC) tell you you dont need to test over Oral sex, and that Oral sex was completely safe , if they thought at all you would need to? Rational thought says no. Anxiety says something else entirely. I dont know if those symptoms are in any way related but I am petrified to even look at living with or symptoms of HIV. Is the consensus to move on with my life being Receiving Oral sex , and cunnilingus was the only factor? Thank you for your quick reply! I guess I got a little worried when I was looking on this forum about cunnilingus and a couple of the Doc's , would use very very low risk, 1 in 10000 etc...in responses , which I thought was no risk by most other expert accounts. It brings up bad thoughts like , Am I the unlucky one? I hope you can understand. I will try and put this behind me and move on. Thanks again.
Sexual Hiv transmission requires penetration inside the vagina or anus. The oral cavity is vastly different and more robust then the linings inside the rectum or vagina. The mouth is an inhospitable environment for the virus as saliva has neutralizing properties.
