Sorry, my typo (I make that typo fairly often) the risk from oral is 1 in 10,000. I apologize.
Once again, intermittent symptoms are not part of the ARS, nor is bloating and gas. What you describe does not sound like ARS. EWH
i thought unprotected oral sex risk is 1/10000....and my stomach did feel painful on the day when i had diarrhea and it was caused by the gas and my stomach was bloating....so did you mean that ars related stomach pain is just pain without gas and stomach being bloated...??? also my last question is...can ars related diarrhea be on and off...??? because the next day i feel better after taking the doctor medicine...however i fart frequently to get rid of the gas in the stomach and everything seem alright...however, as i took some oily food, the diarrhea struck again...so is ars related diarrhea persistant?? can it be like become nothing for a day and come back again..???
Your risk of HIV from giving a guy oral sex is close to non-existent. If he was infected, and this is unlikely, your chance of getting infected is less than 1 in 1000 and that estimate is probably too high.
In addition, the symptoms of the ARS are TOTALLY non-specific and when people experience "ARS symptoms" they are much more likely to have something else, usually some other, more typical virus infection. When this has been studied in the US, less than 1% of persons seeking medical care for "ARS symptoms" are found to have HIV, the remainder having symptoms due to other processes. In contrast, over a given year, there is almost no one who has not had a viral illness, night sweats or both (sometimes on multiple occasions). In addition, it is also important to realize that many persons who acquire HIV do not experience the ARS. For a person to try to judge their HIV risk based on "ARS symptoms" is a waste of time.
The gastrointestinal complaints of ARS are not gas and bloating but are more likely to be aches and pains. I am confident that the symptoms you are experiencing are not ARS. Based on what you have told me, I would not even recommend that you get tested. EWH
p.s. ARS would not last a single day. EWH
