Hi I am 37 and this just started. In the past 3 weeks I've noticed them they are everyday maybe 50-200 times but some days I notice them more or less. Was seriously freaking out when it started. I've always had panic disorder. A nurse I talked to said she had thousands a day and never had other problems( in her 50s).
Thank you for your responses. I appreciate your comments during this time.
i have had pac since i was 23 am now 48, i have them for 9 weeks at a time, 6-7 every min, than they go away. i take a bb for them it helps a lot timolol. they still scare me when they come for weeks at a time ,mine dont come with stress like most mine just do as they please and come when they feel like it . am pretty much ok with them . its the anxiety am having right now that is bothering me, i started getting that 23 years ago with the pac, but been through a lot last 3 months so anxiety been really bad tring get over it . wish there was a magic pill to take and get rid of it . but try not worry about pvc/pac it just makes them worse
I recall reading that by age 40, half the population have PVCs daily (small numbers/daily --- most probably don't notice). By age 60, more than 90% of the population have PVCs (with nearly 20% experiencing more than 100/day).
Yes, of course, those having PVCs in their 20's-30's will generally live to their 70's and 80's. That's because PVCs in a normally structured heart are harmless (and Social Security tables show avearge life expectancies are over 80 for both men and women).
As for PACs, I personally started experiencing PACs/PAF in my late twenties. I'm now 65 and still here (and planning to live into my 80's). PACs are harmless too.
Quit worrying about this.
