Forgot to add, that this would apply to me. It took 4 hours for my doctor to stent my Iliac in 2002, because the blockage was so old. I knew it hurt to walk, but never in my wildest dreams would have ever thought of a blockage. And with my last heart attack in Feb, they had a lot of trouble stenting one of the arteries in my rigt heart because of the hardened plaque. They went through 3 stents before they were able to stent it. Of course I was back in the cath lab last Friday having that stent reopened. It collapsed. Possibly because of the texture of the plaque. Who really knows.
WOW. This is great news. Is this still in the testing stage? What effect does this have on the rest of the body and blood flow, or risks involved with bleeding? Does it say? Which enzyme?
