Advice for stenting post CABG 14 Years ago

My Father now 63 had undegone CABG in 2000 and when we have done in Angiogram in 2011 just as a general check  up although he is normal the report says LAD Stenosis 50 to 70% LCx normal, OM1 Normal, OM2 Stenosis 70 to 90% and RCA Stenosis 70 to 90%. And the one of the cardiologist recommended Stents. But we clarified with another higher cardiologist or Dean of the hospital and he one of the top ones in the country although he is not a surgeon he said since the CABG has happened 14 years ago and there is no need at this point to do a stent and as father is maintaining good health and can walk upto 45 min without feeling tiredness. It was 3 years since my father is seeing the same cardiologist and I infact asked him if required please put a stent as i dont want to risk my fathers life and he says the stent is not required and it is good not to disturb the system and your father is maintaining good health. I am panicking everyday thinking what might happen to him and I dont want to repent later if anything goes wrong. My father is also diabetic and he is on insulin and diabetics type 2 is under control. Please advice

No no no, he will have time, plenty of time :) Remember it will be gradual and he will likely feel the symptoms at around 90%. Also it is worth remembering that he could open collateral vessels which are natural bypass vessels on the surface of the heart.

Thanks for the response.Yes he is on aspirin daily. Well if the blockage does go 99% does he have enough time to have a stent or will it be too late? Does he not end up getting a stroke?

I assume your Father is on Aspirin each day? I wouldn't worry. First of all, the blockages will not jump from 70% to 100% over night. What he needs to do is take his daily aspirin and everything will be just fine. IF a blockage does worsen, say get to 99%, then he will feel symptoms and can then have a stent inserted. Aspirin helps prevent the blood from forming clots, so preventing a 100% blockage from very quickly forming. He is doing very well for his bypass :)
