Another opinion

Just got back from seeing yet another cardiologist concerning my ongoing chest and arm discomfort. This has been the third one I have seen.I showed him my results from previous tests. My cath which showed minor disease of non obstructive nature, stress echoes which were all normal, and 64ct angiogram which correlated what the cath showed back in march. In other words minor disease.Upon seeing these results he reassured me I am ok and that no further testing be done and that I should see him again in 2 yrs time. However I still get these pains which sure feel cardiac in nature. It feels like after the cath in march and the 64ct angiogram in june the doctors dont want to know me anymore, yet I feel something isnt right. Please any advice appreciated.
Dimi.

I hope it is not that they don't want to know you anymore, but after having done a 64ct angiogram, stress echoes, and a heart cath, I'm not sure what else they can do.  That combination of tests shows they took you seriously and did everything they could to see if something was wrong.  And you've had 3 tell you it's not cardiac, so likely it is not cardiac.  Although to you your pains "sure feel cardiac in nature", you've been tested thoroughly and have been found to be okay cardiac-wise.  So I'd recommend talking to your general practitioner about other possible causes of your pain.  Chest pain/discomfort is not always cardiac related - there are numerous other possible causes which you could be tested for i.e. GERD/reflux, asthma, etc.  Stress/anxiety can also cause symptoms many think are cardiac and can be treated through counseling.  I hope you find out what is wrong, but recommend you look for other causes than cardiac because all indications/test results/cardiologists' diagnoses determine that it is not of a cardiac nature.  Good luck!
