Lately Ive been having this feeling in my left side, its not pain but its just a feeling thats there. Im in fact more bothered by it then anything, and after reading up on what it could be... I got a bit concerned
Here's what I feel: When Im driving or really just sitting still (like watching TV or something), I'll get a weird feeling going around the far left side of my chest, almost where my chest and armpit meet. Its not painful, but like right now as Im typing this, I can feel almost a squeeze sensation. On top of that, Ill sometimes get a tingle feeling going down my left arm but I never feel numbness and I can always make a fist and hold it with no problems. Once in a while my left shoulder and shoulder blade will get that same feeling. If I wanted to make some pain out of it, I can basically flex my chest and I'll feel a little bit of a sting, but nothing real painful. The right side of my body is fine, I dont feel anything out of the ordinary with that at all.
Ive had this feeling going on for about 3-4 years, but have always ignored it. It especially comes about during the summer time. I have a fan going to beat the heat, and one nurse told me that the fan could be causing my breathing to be abnormal while Im sleeping. I found that odd
Back in 2004, I was diagnosed for clinical depression and major anxiety. Im not the paranoid type, but I dunno if that has anything to do with it.
Id say Im a healthy guy. Im 25 years old, I eat pretty good - I dont eat alot of junk. I workout, however, I rarely do cardio workouts. I dont get shortness of breathe, and I do not feel winded if I go running or play basketball. At first when this feeling came about, I thought it was from working out my chest real hard - but the fact that it only effects my left side and nothing on my right concerns me.
The only family history I have of heart problems is my mother. She was however extremely overweight and smoked. Im rather the opposite, I do not smoke and Im 6 foot 180 lbs. In fact, Id say that the health of my family history if very good. Almost all past generations have died of natural causes.
I know alot of guys have had this same feeling that I have, and they went to the doctor and checked out fine. Im going to take the recommendation of other sites I found and take a few asprins before I sleep tonite
Should I be concerned? Is this normal for a young man to be going through?
thank you
