Chest pain that is JUST anxiety?

I was wondering if there was anyone on this forum who has chest pain but no medical heart problems?  I have been tested thoroughly by a number of docs and all my tests come back normal.  I've been told anxiety and I really, really disagree with this but at this point, I have nowhere else to "go".  I tried Lexapro last year and it never helped with the chest pain.

I am just wondering if I have "simply" heart awareness and anxiety (which as I said came after an out o the blue panic attack) can my chest be SORE after a hellish night?  Last night I could feel my chest shake and my heart rate increase (not fast-fast but faster), there were some other symptoms (basically panic type things but nothing like the first and only panic attack I've had) but this morning my chest feels tired and very sore.  That scares me.  As of February 07, all my tests were good.  My symptoms are not really changing just increasing and more intense.

As anyone else been given the anxiety diagnosis and clear heart tests but still have pain?

Ya know I have anxiety for 13 years and I got so many heart test done and they are always normal from this day I still get chest pains it feels sore sometimes. I go to my cardiologist and they tell me it's normal. The doctor is the only who could tell you it's anxiety. If you are concern again like I always am go back and get checked. I did so many times and Im fine but as soon I feel that way again I go back. My cardiologist told me the reason why I feel sore cause my muscles tense up so much. Press on your chest and if it hurts when you press on it it's muscles.  I can't say if it's anxiety or not.

years ago when I started having panic attacks & some PVCs, I would have chest pain.  It was esophugus & chest wall spams.  Ativan worked the best at that time to relax the muscles.  Everytime I'd get ready to go somewhere and get anxiety about it, that would happen & the heart would race too and it felt awful.  They did EKGs, echo, etc... and could only discover a slight Mitral Valve Prolapse.  They said that could irritate it, but they were pretty sure it was just plain oh' stress & panic.  Sure enough, when I learned to breathe deep and take a piece of Ativan when needed, that stuff stopped.  If your heart continues to race out of control, you might want to try a mild beta blocker.  I use Sectral (acebutolol) and never had side effects with it, but you'd need a very mild dose.  Exercise to the level you feel comfortable will work off alot of muscle tightness & anxiety/adrenalin too.
If this continues, read books on panic to help yourself and perhaps even a therapist that specializes in panic attacks.  Don't forget to lay off all caffeine, and most sugar.,,etc..I was drinking Dr Pepper when mine started.
