Food taste

My husband had surgery one week ago.  He had four bypasses. All solid foods taste the same..Has anyone else had this problem..When will food start tasting good again?

After my bypass everything tasted quite different for about three weeks. Mostly everything tasted metallic, like I had been licking coins or something. I found savoury foods seemed to help bring the taste buds back to normal.

dshays... that happened to me the first time they put me on blood thinner...coumadin..warfarin.. but dont know if your husband would be on blood tghinner after surgery...probably not..claytex
