Information to be getting on with....
In the 70's the FDA replaced codeine based cough medicine with dextromethorphan which was said to be non addictive. Codeine was used in high quantity by people to gain a high.
However, it was soon discovered gulping cough syrup with dextromethorphan could also give a high. Side effects are.....
confusion, impaired judgment, blurred vision, dizziness, paranoia, excessive sweating, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, headache, lethargy, numbness of fingers and toes, facial redness, dry and itchy skin, loss of consciousness, seizures, brain damage, and even death
The situation becomes even more dangerous if these substances are used with alcohol or another drug including pinpoint pupils, slow shallow breathing and coma or death.
sorry, forgot to ask, you don't mention any pains or locations. Are you pain free when this occurs?
This may sound like a strange question, or may embarrase you, but there's a good reason I am asking. When you go to the toilet (number 2), I presume it is very runny. Do you notice any orange coloured oil with it? or yellowish.
I am asking to eliminate a train of thought on your symptoms which I have seen before.
