Heart rate question

Does anyone else's heart rate seem to go through cycles? There are days throughout the month where my heart rate stays around 79-86 during the day no matter what I do. Then things will suddenly change. My heart rate will be in the mid-to-high 90s just sitting. ????What's up with that???? If I walk around, just walk, it is in the lowish 100s and if I go UP or DOWN the stairs, it will be in the 125s. ??? Does anyone else have this happen to them? PLEASE let me know if you have any ideas about this. It seems so irradict and seems so unrelated to activity level.

I was just wondering that very same thing and that's why I logged on.  The last few days, my heart rate has been in the 90's just sitting here and goes up to 120 just walking around.  Other times, it will be in the 70's when I'm sitting around.  Tonight I went to the gym and with my heart fast to start with, it went up to nearly 180 during exercise.  I don't know what causes this.  I know I've been stressed lately.  I guess it's better than the PVCs I normally get.

The same thing happens to me.  The only time it is someway stable is when I wake up in the morning.  One day my HR can average at 80, the next 70, and the next 90.  There are so many reasons for this - mood, hydration or dehydration, what you have eaten, alcohol, temperature, time of day etc.  It is impossible to put a finger on it.  Somedays my HR will be 145 going up stairs, some days 125.  I have a feeling that this happens to most but not all are as obsessed as I am about HR and simply do not notice the changes.  In fact, HR variability is considered a good healthy sign so I wouldnt worry too much.  I am trying to think less about my heart and live a normal life!
