No issues...All for the 'Greater Good'...Lets enjoy it Alll the way...:)
If you delete a post you should also delete the post connected to it. Now Smiley2000 post addressed to me seems like I said something terrible or stupid.:) I know I haven’t, but maybe others won’t understand her post without reading mine.
Pay attention please for details like that.
Thank you.
Sorry it is a little late and English is my second language.:)....
Correction:
My post I addressed to you was dilated..........the rest I think is correct...
My post was deleted to you :) not sure why. I did not hurt anybody just had an opinion about our little stars, and the best answers ......so I just have to say part of it again what I was writing to you in the deleted post:
Thank you for your post. I wanted to give you the "best answer", but it came up as the "expert answer”
Please feel free to give your input on any thread! Especially if something I say is wrong, I still need to learn as well.
Jon
I'm old school on this board, and remember when those of us with heart issues in the late 1990's would look forward to how a heart doctor would respond to the two questions asked daily by those with heart issues. I miss on this board suggestions from health professionals, and welcome their ideas. I began heart problems in the late 1990's, and do believe that monitoring this site, two questions as day, resulted in the fact that I'm still standing.
As Jon suggests, we should welcome, not discourage, advice from health professionals.
Hi there,
I think you miss-understood the idea of the "star" and "best answers" that MedHelp and the Posters awards to those who contribute to these Forums.
The "stars" and "best answers" also gives us CREDIBILITY in the areas in which we offer our help and time. It is also very THERAPEUTIC to know that you can help people out of your own experience!
Unfortunately every now and then someone comes along that likes to stirr the pot....
I think we are VERY fortunate to have an Expert/Doctor on Medhelp, offering up her time and giving help and information on a Community Forum, for FREE!
1000 per cent agree with Jon Rich
Medhelp encourages medical professionals to visit the forums and contribute, this happens in many communities. Their credentials are checked and they are invited to participate. Their main role is to answer questions that have not been responded to. They are also free to participate on any thread they wish to comment on.
What we all should understand, and I think most of us do, we are not doctors. We are not qualified to give medical advice. When I see a post in which some one is giving medical advice, I flag it for deletio as that is not our role. The most we can do is share personal experiences or research we have done on the Internet, none of which makes us medical professionals. It is a great opportunity to receive an answer from a doctor on a forum like this without the posting restrictions on the expert forum. I for one see this as an opportunity to help more people beyond what I can do and to continue to learn.
We should welcome any doctor that offers to give us their time, at least that's how I see it.
Jon
I'm not sure why the doctor has been added here but many people enjoy seeing a doctor monitor the answers. Perhaps they will feel more comfortable that the information they're getting is valid. Then again, if they want a true diagnosis of their particular condition, they should see their own doctor. We have years of experience but each case is different.
