mine goes up for a few beats after I have them, sometiemes it will stay up a little longer. I thinks that is usually what happens after an extra beat or run of them. I don't know about all day though, but I gues if you were having a few every minute it could do that, or the anxiety about having so many can make mine rest higher. eating or especcially eating something high in sugar or caffeine can make it rest higher as well. One od my cardios told me his wife's rests in the nineties all the time and that is normal for her. He also said she was a small person so I guess he thought that might have something to do wih it.
When I have episodes of palps, generally my heart rate is elevated due to stress and anxiety. I typically run a heart rate of 60-80 and when I am having palps, it will run more like 75-90 bpm, due to stress. I put a lot of stress on myself about my health, and palps are the worst.
I guess I would get a holter monitor, or event recorder to monitor your palps and heart rate, that way a doctor can see what the real problem is and tell you if its just some palps and axiety, or something more serious. My bet is its anxiety, but its better to be safe than sorry!
Thank you for your input. You both make good points. :)
Today I'm having frequent palps and my heart rate is only around 78-83. However Sunday I was also having frequent palps and my heart rate was 98-113 all day. I find it curious. I suspect I'm just the odd duck. LOL.....
It could be an adrenaline surge that's causing your HR to remain elevated. When I get runs of PVC's, I get very anxious which just makes the PVC's worse and my HR go up. It is a vicious cycle.
If you don't already do so, avoid caffeine. It just makes everything worse.
Yes, and I think it correlates with anxiety level. While you might not be totally tweaked, frequent palpitations are definitely unsettling.
