The radiation is in the injection to the IV line. I think the machine only records the radiation location.
Actually I'm claustrophobic and can't tolerate the close quarters. The machine is very tight when scanning and it can last 15 to 20 minutes.
I'm looking for the best alternative to the Myoview.
The Exercise ECG and Echocardiogram is thge best I could come up with as an alternative so far.
An electrocardiogram tests for different issues, as does an MRI and Catscan. I sense you are worried about a test that is pending. I've had many of them over the past twelve years, and feel they are very safe. The radiation level is low and out of the body quickly. Being a West Coast kid in the 1940's and 1950's, I was exposed to a whole lot of nuclear radiation, far, far more than the Myoview test delivers. I would proceed with confidence. If you have a blockage issue with heart arteries, I'd say the information about that would easily trump a radiation worry.
