Supplements

I have had Diabetes for 25 years now.  Last year, I was diagnosed with CAD after a stress test and had two stents placed in my right coronary artery the next day.  A month ago, I had another stress test that revealed some re-narrowing of the arteries, consequently I had three more stents placed.  My diet has been as heart healthy as I can possibly make it, I try to keep saturated fats under 20mg per day as recommended.  My cholesterol numbers have all been in the normal range, with exception to the HDL, which has been in the mid 20's (no matter the amount of exercise I do, it won't budge).  I would like to get others opinions on any good supplement to use.  For example, I have seen an Oral Chelation supplement that is suppose to clear the arteries.  Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Instead of going for supplements, try eating Fish like sardines, mackeral & salmon which are rich in Omega 3 fats & lowers LDL/Triglycerides & increases HDL.
You can also eat walnuts & Flakseed. These have worked wonders for me.
I had a CABG done 4 months ago and I have made sure that my HDL & LDL levels are with the required parameters.

Salmon and hard chocolate is suppose to raise the HDL. There are cholesterol medications out there that do raise HDL.  Your HDL should be at least in the 30's for a male. Your LDL should be 100 or less.  Eat vegetable and fruits that are fresh.  No canned foods.  No processed meats.  You have to be very strict with your diet to help reduce further blockage.  My father is on fish oil supplements to raise his HDL per his doctor, but you should check with your doctor before adding any new supplements.
