TBILI 1.4

This is probably over sharing but I really don't give a crap anymore. I had a Quadruple bi pass back in June of 2012. A couple of weeks ago my cardiologist took me off my Crestor 40 mg. He had bumped me up 20mg a month earlier because my ldls were high. Now my Lipid panel is off the charts again. It's not related to acholol or fat because I really haven't had that much of either. TRIG 166, CHOL 286, CHOL/HDL 7.15 LDL Calculated 213 non-HDLC 246 and the kicker of them all TBILISI  1.4 I have a compromised immune system and am on truvada, norvir, and reyataz. I have been walking and watching my intakes... I do have a sweet tooth sometimes but otherwise I eat pretty healthy. any ideas?

If you are producing too much cholesterol with a carefully controlled diet, then you may have a hyperactive Liver. I have hypercholesterolemia, which basically means when I sleep, my Liver turns my blood into fat soup. Only around 20% of the fat in your blood comes from food, the Liver can make fat by itself and does. Without statins my total cholesterol is 375-400. With 40mg of Atorvastatin accompanied by Ezetimibe, It is 160-162.
It has to be said though, more and more research is revealing that fats have little to do with it. I don't think it will be much longer before they finally find the culprit.
