What would be next ?

After having a 4 artery by-pass in 2004, more than a dozen stent procedures, tmr in 2008,and now in January of 2010 having a 5 artery by-pass. What's left? I take 16 or 17 medications including the all inclusive plavix. a 3.25 aspiriin. AGGRENOX,Zocor, and a host of others.I watch my diet and exercise until it hurts to prove to my Dr. that I'm not just lying around. With your "scientific ' MINDS can you help?

There are only two main possibilities that remain for causing your problems. Either genetic or Stress. I have just been reading a report by a cardiologist who feels that standard blood pressure testing is not adequate. He believes that many people have highly stressful lives at home, but many feel much more relaxed in a Doctors office or away from home staying in hospital. Their blood pressure is treated accordingly, but as soon as they get home, their pressure raises again.  So if you have low cholesterol, normal blood pressure, healthy diet, no smoking, exercising, then that basically leaves genetics which is the bucket where the unknowns are thrown into. It may not be your reason, but many people don't even realise they are stressed. It becomes a part of every day life for many, and they don't see the impact it has on the body until it's too late. I had a few classes in relaxation, to overcome my stress. I spent years in a stressful job and had lots of stress at home. I used to continually say "bring it on, I can deal with it" but obviously I'm paying for it now big time.
Some people get stressed when they have nothing to feel stressed about, and I was one of them.
Not very scientific I know, but maybe other people will have something else to add.

Take care
