heart medication

I HAVE BEEN ON TYKOSIN FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, IF I STAY ON IT FOR TOO LONG WILL I END UP WITH DECREASED LEG STRENGTH AND URINARY OR BOWEL INCONTINENCE.

You don't mention the underlying cause for the medication and depending on the underlying cause \there may be other medication that doesn't have side effects that is disturbing.  Usually the medication you taking relates to A-fibs, but if you do not have structural heart disease or coronary artery disease, the medication flecainide and propafenone are very effective.

If you can't take flec or popaf, sotalol (if you have normal heart function and no heart failure) and amiodarone are options.  You should contact your doctor and try and work out an alternative medication.
