Flecainide may cause new or worsened heartbeat abnormalities, heart attack, congestive heart failure, and heart block (an interference with contraction of the heart). It may sometimes cause or worsen heartbeat irregularities and certain heart conditions, such as heart failure.

If a beta blocker is prescribed in  conjunction with Flecainde, it is to stabilize the heartbeat and help prevent prevent irregular heartbeat.

If you have been experiencing episodes of fainting the device is activated to save the recording before, during, and after the episode. The recordings can then be evaluated by a physician to help determine the cause of fainting.

Hope this helps, and thanks for sharing.  Take care and if you have any further questions post followup questions.
