need some answers

my grandmother is 83 yr old ... she has antrillor defibrillator... they had her on warafin, and then she had a mini stroke... the doctor then gave her plaxix.. so for a while she was taking both .. now this new doctor took it away .. and she having the same things happening again .. is it alright to take both blood thinners... cause i have heard they both work side by side... im no doctor but i think it was better when she was on both ..... please help me ....

Once a blood clot forms, warfarin keeps the clot formation in check, allowing the body's natural processes to break it down.

Plavix and aspirin are antiplatelet medication that help prevent coangulation.  Each have different mechanisms for antiplatelet formation.  The risk is excessive bleeding if prone to bleeding episodes.
