I was on Plavix, aspirin and statin when I remove part of my broken tooth in the uni hospital. My dentist just advice me to have it done in the morning instead of late afternoon in case of complication. I was not told to get off the drugs at that time. I was rested for 10 mins until the bleeding stopped before I left the dentist chair.
Just to add, your stents were installed way back in 2009 so I don't think the cardiologist will see this as a risk.
My general Doctor said to come off both Aspirin and Plavix for 3 days before and 2 days after. When I mentioned this to my cardiologist he wasn't happy at all. He said it should have been 24 hours before and after. So I agree with Flycaster305, I would ask the Cardiologist.
This is a question you need to pose to your Cardiologist. I had the same question about 12 years ago with the same sort of scenario, but that was then, now is now... ask your doc.
