As mycardial oxygen demand increases the body compensates. The body increases the heart rate. Anytime the heart is "Sinus" it is pretty normal (unless it sinus bradycardia that's too too slow). If your heart rate didn't increase on exertion your muscles would probably atrophy and eventually die. You need that extra oxygen that the heart is pumping in order to maintain any kind of stamina.
ya, it sounds like you are very anxious. Try to take it easy until you talk to your doc. Im sure he/she will put your mind at ease
HI thanx for your response.I wore a holter 2 weeks ago it noted at the time of lifting sinus tach.the symptoms are my heart will increase normal then ill feel it speed up,then i take a couple of deep breaths it returns to normal. It will do this of and on for a while then starts get better after 45 mins. or so.the weird thing is i dont get them on treadmill??I will tell you this i have been so anxious i dont think it has helped,i honestly think it may be bringing them on to some extent.my echo was normal 70 ef what ever that means,my resting pulse is 48 to 60,I paniced at my stress test did not finish i hope that was my first and last panick attack it was quite scary to say the least.look foward to hearing back from you. rick
The change in heart rate when breathing is called sinus arrhythmia, and is a normal finding and can actually be a GOOD indication, as its often found in very healthy hearts.
I'm confused. Sinus tach during exercise is a normal finding.
