Does that means i may get away with not having the valvle replaced then the doc and the cardilosist says that I will have the valve replaced at some point.
Yes, meds will/should prevent further calcification or slow the process. It is possible to lower your cholesterol with diet and exercise, and no need for the medication, however, most individuals stay on meds and include a healthy diet and lifestyle. The doctors will evaluate periodically and monitor progression, if any.
so the meds will or should prevent or delay of me having the valve replaced. the docs do say that i will have to have repaired or replaced at some time. So I will be on this med untill they r have to replace or for the rest of my life?
There is some calcification/plaque to the valve opening that narrows (stenosis) and that impedes the normal flow of blood into circulation. The medication will prevent or slow the process, and yes, aging builds up the plaque formation for many people and untreated my cause a heart problem in later life.
