hello.my sister reported almost the exact same thing like what you said. She's wondering why her heart is beating so fast when she was actually doing nothing. It has been going on for two weeks now. Her friends said she might be anxious or excited over something but she's not. Her BP was normal. and once she had a headache with the palpitations. She's on a new medication for asthma. Are you on any medication besides the anxiety meds? and is there any other symptoms besides the rapid heartbeat? thank you..
hi i am taking prilosec for reflux but not getting any relief either, i've been having stomache aches, diaherria,no appetite, even hot and cold spells on my head, arms, and back, bizarre i know, i wonder if there connected somehow cause i never had these symptoms before. the anxiety medicine is deffently not working it makes you just feel so out of it, dizzy, almost zombie like. i dont have asthma, when the heart palps start i can breathe just fine, its just the heart. does she have trouble breathing? could it be related to the asthma? i just dont know what to think there has to be something wrong!!
Shannon, I don't know how old you are, but your symptoms could be attributed to menopause or a hormone imbalance. Hot flushes that center in the head and chest, rapid pulse, elevated blood pressure. I'm going through this right now. :) From what I've read, and from what my doctor has told me, a drop in hormones "fools" your hypothalamus, which is your body's thermostat. Your blood vessels dilate, your heart beats faster, etc. which is the body's way of trying to cool itself down.
Anyway, get your hormones checked. It can't hurt!
