Hi all! So I had another scary episode this morning with what I belived were PVC's and Tachycardia. A quick background. I am 32 years old and have suffered with occasional PVC's for almost 2 years. I have around 2-3 PVC's in a week but these do increase when I am near my period to maybe 1 a day for the 8-10 days prior to my period. I suffer from GERD and gastritis and that's basically all of my medical issues. I've had an echocardiogram, 24 hour holter, multiple EKG's, chest X-Ray and blood work done and everything comes back fine, just occasional benign PVC's.
I had my first episode on August 6th were I had 3 PVC's with 3-4 normal beats in between and then I experienced tachycardia. The tachycardia lasted 2 minutes and it started to subside. My heart rythm was stable during this episode and I didn't feel faint, dizzy, any pain etc. I just felt incredibly scared. I really thought I was gonna drop dead at any minute. This happened maybe 4 days before my period.
A couple of hours ago I experienced a similar episode. This time I was able to feel my pulse while the PVC's were happening but I couldn't feel them on my pulse just on my throat/chest. I felt my pulse was steady and normal. I just felt a stronger beat but no pause. It was like PVC, 5-6 normal beats, PVC, 5-6 normal beats, PVC, 5-6 normal beats, PVC, 5-6 normal beats and the my heart started to increase its rythm to about 130-140 bpm. I was in the kitchen eating a sandwich when these started so I sat down and took my pulse and started breathing through my nose and out my mouth till my rythm went back to normal. It went back to 80bpm in about 2 minutes. My rythm was always steady when this was happening and again no fainting, dizziness, pain, sweating or anything, just me feeling really scared. Again I am about 7 days from my period so don't know if this has to do with anything.
The Dr told me my heart is healthy but these episodes are so scary! Has anyone felt anything like this before? Any input is appreciated. Thank you!
