From what I have read recurrence of AFib on the way to full relief is common. I don't know about the timing and respond just to get the "ball rolling". It is always best to consult your doctor.
Good luck, and let us know how you do.
I had an ablation this last july. Havent had any afib since but had alot of pvs for the first few months... It has been ten months now and no pvcs for the last 2-3 months... I think it takes several months to really find out the exact results.. Im guessing you will keep improving..Most of my problems went away for the most part after six months... but now almost a year later.. and I seldom have a pvc even... so Id give it time... hope this helps... It's too early to think about having another ablation. It takes 3-6 months for your heart to really settle down. I had my ablation in Sept and had to take an anti-arrhythmic until a couple of months ago. It helped keep my heart on the right pathway. So far I have not experienced a-fib since Dec. and I've been off the heart med. almost 2 months.
Are you still on a blood- thinner? I have to stay on it until I have a TEE in another month or so to confirm there are no little blood clots in my left atrial appendage. Good luck and try not to let the palps get to you....easy to say when you're not having them anymore. What do you mean by "severe?"
