Cardiomyopathy

What is this?  I've asked 3 cardiologists and they all shrug even though they write this on my medical report.  Is it serious?  What should be done?  All doctors do is order MORE TESTS but only say I have "weak heart".  That is not a diagnosis!

I have NO physical symptoms ...  bad EKG, ECHO & STRESS tests.  Now they want to do ANGIOGRAM but that would then lead to stents (which only help with angina which I don't have!!!)  Doctors aren't listening to me!  I have no symptoms ... just bad tests!

Lisinopril (July 2011) is the first BP med that is actually working ... 26 years of other stuff never did.  It does make me hyperactive!

I'm also angry to find out that LBBB was noted by cardiologist in 2008 but never informed/treated me .  (I've been going to this practice over 15 years/left for another).  The written reports to my PCP were incorrect/wrong about my refusing to take aspirin (my ears ring and I've had bleeding ulcers).  Plus they seldom took BP ... what kind of cardiologist is this?  My dentist and eye doctor take my BP since I've had so much trouble.

Beta blockers make my BP & PVC's jump higher & doctor thought I was having a MI after 3 doses of Lopressor.  Now taking 1/2 tablet of Coreg (3.125mg) and don't like the feeling in my body/heart is pounding hard.  I've been accused of "doing something else" to make my heart go crazy.  I'm the most compliant patient you will ever find.  I do everything requested/suggested. Even ask if there is more I can do.  I walk every day for one hour (3 miles), lift weights & do pilates several times each week.

Just finished 3 months of cardiac rehab (my idea ... only person who had no "event" or surgery).  RN's had to keep reminding me to slow down/take it easy.  It wasn't a challenge.  I hoped it would help EF ... went from 38% in March to 31% in August.  What am I doing wrong?

Where should I go & what should I be doing?  I need help and must find out what else is wrong.

The ECHO tech last week said I should be going to a cardiophysiologist but no one suggests that.  Also said I should have a Holter Monitor to see what happens over several days with my PVC's,etc.

Wow. You need a new cardiologist and fast! Tell your pcp to set you up with a  new cardioloist now, and if he does not, get a new pcp.
