Hey there, although im on 100mill of atenolol a day,my heart reaaaaally speeds up when I do any physical activity! So when I just go for a stroll my ticker is very fast..always has been though..so unfortunatly for me fast or slow I get pvcs..I have noticed no difference in the amount..on or off my medicine...
Hey there, sorry to hear you have nsvt as well!Yes I have had a lot of different tests, and also an ablation for it a few years back..It helped but now its backkkkkk!Im on atenolol 100 mill a day for my blood pressue..It has made no difference though with my nsvt.:( I am without inusrance at the moment so I havent been seen by a doc in a few years! I know scary!!!!!!!!HOpefully I will soon get insurance through my job and all this will change!Let me know how everything turns out!
I have PVC's daily, and when I'm walking I often have lots of them, but that's because my heart rate isn't high enough to cancel them out yet. I actually have to exercise at a higher intensity! As soon as I start to jog or exercise in a way that raises my heart rate above 120 or so, my PVC's disappear.
If your doctor has said it's okay to exercise, try getting your heart rate up a little higher and see if that makes them go away. It's strange!
Hello
I am suffering from NSVT too at 22years old... so scary! Thankfuly I have a healthy heart.
I have an appointment with my EP pretty soon so ill let you know how that turns out.
Have you done any tests? are you on any meds? I did notice that beta blockers helped NSVT but not PVCs.
Hi, sorry to hear of the nsvt returning. I have nsvt also, and was wondering how long you've had this.? I've had it since I was 12, I get SEVERAL episodes a month. Sometimes a few in 1 day! I hate these things, i've tried everything to get rid of them, they just get worse the older I get!! I can't imagine them getting any worse than they already are, I'm only 23, I can't imagine what its gonna be like when I'm 40!!
Hey there, thanks for the comments!Unfortunatly I dont have insurance at the moment so its a scary situation!!!!!HOpefully soon though I will be qualified through my job!Cross your fingers...Yes its deff like a frog is hoppin around in there.I just want to be able to do minimal activity and not feel like im going to go in to nsvt or WORSE.
Hi Julie. Your V Tach ablation failing after 3 years has to be very depressing to say the least. Do you think that maybe the same thing is happening only in a different area? I like how you describe it as a frog. I tell people that my heart is in spin cycle like a washing machine, but the frog description is closer to the truth. All day long I've been getting up to go for short walks and hardly getting any work done. Have you made an appointment with your cardiologist/EP doc? This is no way to live. What did we do to deserve this? In my case it's likely too many years of untreated sleep apnea.
I also have terrible pvc's and pac's while doing any moderate exercise, walking around the block or cleaning the house. i also get short of breath.
Tara
Hey! Count me in on the PVCS while exercising group! I usually get them, but once I get going real good, they go away. They usually come back once I stop, but not as bad. I have heard that exercise actually helps! Good luck!
