EKG results

pse
I went to the ER recently for an acute gallbladder attack and was given an EKG.  Results say that I had normal sinus rhythm, Biatrial enlargement, Nonspecific ST abnormality, and Abnormal ECG.
Is this normal results for someone with an acute gallbladder problem?

Thanks for any feedback,
pse

I had my gallbladder out a couple of years ago and i know when i went into the hospital while having an attack my pulse rate was going crazy as was my blood pressure. For the most part your tests came out okay...i am wondering tho what they mean by an abnormal ECG and why they weren't a little more specific on that in tossing out why.  It may just very well be that they are calling it abnormal because of the reaction to the gall bladder attack.  Personally i would get that puppy out of there (gallbladder). the surgery isn't that big of a deal but the gallbladder attack is something else....that is definately an owwww moment....good luck to you....

Just my opinion here...

I think that while your gallbladder condition and the pain it causes can affect your ECG to an extent, the issues that this particular ECG is picking up might be considered a separate issue from that of your gallbladder.

That being said, many times computer generated responses to ECG's can tend to over-diagnose or mislead.  With this kind of result on an ECG, I'm hoping they referred you to a cardiologist for further evaluation.
