Thanks for the info, good reassurance that im not alone.
Im a 20 year old male. Currently im on klonopin for the panic attacks which does help. No Stimulants at all. Had a 24 holter with a cardiologist in December and they found a dozen skipped beats as she called them. Funny thing is I never noticed the beats unless I gpt nervouse when I would just get panic and my mind would go blank and Id get all dizzy. Now I just understand and feel the pause in beats and try to cope. Bigeminy gets me really ticked off so I guess I get nervous for that. My palps only happen at odd times when im staring blankly or tired or not breathing thoroughly like every other week sometimes twice a week. And the arrythmias are only for 10 seconds then my heart just beats wicked fast back to baseline and it all ends in less then 2 minutes. Seems like my adrenaline kicks in trying to tell me wake the heck up and my heart cant react as fast. So I think I'll go excersise...cause extra adrenaline sucks
Hi,
Consider seeing your Doctor.
Have you been assessed for these problems? The PVC every other beat may be bigeminy. I get trigeminy periodically. Look up those terms on the net. In a structurally normal heart, it is usually not of concern. Any type of arrhythmia, even when considered benign, may require treatment if lightheadedness or dizziness is involved.
The adrenaline rush may still be your reaction to the PVC. No matter how noble I may try to sound, when my heart acts up I get quite tense. The funny thing is that my wife (who works for my Cardiologist) and I were invited with others to his home to watch the football game one weekend. I was nervous and my heart was a mess rhythm wise the entire time. I was almost in constant trigeminy. I could secretively hold my breath in deep, which for some unknown reason stops the trigeminy, but conversation is difficult. As he already has seen (and seen and seen and seen etc.) my EKGs (even the trigeminy) and told me the condition is benign, I fought off the desire to thrust my arm at him and say "here, feel my arrhythmia in my pulse". When we left my heart eventually settled down. The next day she told him that my arrhythmia was acting up fairly bad when I was at his house. She said he exclaimed "well, he controls himself well". That was all he had to say.
How old are you, male/female, smoking history, heart disease in the family, on medications, etc.
If you haven't been seen, at least see your family Doctor. No one on this forum can correctly diagnose you by your symptoms. If you have a documented history of PVCs and the latest work-up was recent, what did they say?
Wish you a normal rhythm.
You'd need to catch it on a holter or event monitor to know for sure what it is. Different things feel different to different people.
