Heart skips beat and pauses

I am 30 years old and have been experiencing discomfort in my heart for the last couple of months. It feels like it misses a beat and beats hard soon after the skip. It is as if my heart is doing a tumble in my chest. I exercise frequently and have a stressfull job. I am worried that my heart will stop. I have no idea what is wrong with me. I attended my GP a number of months ago and was told that i do not have high blood pressure. I dont know how else to explain my symptoms.

Hi,
Sounds like PAC's (premature atrial contractions) or PVC's (premature ventricular contractions). I have them and have had them since I was about 12 years old. I have went to many doctors and have had many tests and they all say if you have a healthy heart that are harmless. I would go and get checked out to be on the safe side and then just forget about them. ( which is very hard to do ) :) But, you will feel lots better after they tell you they are fine and not dangerous.  I know I did.  :)
