Heart thyroid

Hi all. I have asked questions before and gotten really great answers. I have another one.
I have been getting many tests run because of symptoms that started in January. When they started my cardiologist ran a thyroid test, which was normal. I have been on meds for a long time because of underactive thyroid. It has been regulated for years. Anyway, lots more tests, another thyroid test from different doctor three weeks ago which was normal.
Doctors decide I need an ablation for arrhythmia. I went in last week for my blood test for thyroid check-up that I do every six months and my thyroid was very slightly hyper just by .14(TSB)T3 and t4 were normal. Last test showed 2.3(TSB) three weeks ago. What could have caused the sudden drop? Could this have been the root of all my heart problems all along and it is only showing up now? I am not sure what to do at this point. The cardiologist thinks I still need the ablation but I would like a second opinion. What do you guys think? Your thyroid does control heart function, right? My heart could not have caused my thyroid to mess up, right? Please help. I can not find anywhere that says that your heart can affect your thyroid, it says it is the other way around. So what is going on? Could they be two separate problems?
