How to deal with increasing runs of bigeminy?

Hi,

I have been reading posts for a while and am so thankful to have found this forum, it has calmed me down on many nights! This is my first time posting. For the past year I have been having heart palpitations. Four months ago I had a 24 hour Holter moniter and an echo done and my heart was found to be structurally normal. The Holter came back pretty normal with about 500 ectopic beats. I also visited the ER twice during that time and one time was having frequent pvcs (1 every 8 beats) and also a supraventricular contraction on one of my EKGs. All tests and blood work came back normal except for low calcium on one blood test.
I have been going through a lot of personal issues at home and have been suffering from anxiety lately. I have also had a degree of health anxiety since childhood. At the time of my echo I was having a panick attack with a heart rate of 160 which was said to be sinus tachycardia brought on by anxiety. My cardiologist suggested I see a counselor to deal with my anxiety which I am doing and said other than that my heart is normal but if I don’t do something about the anxiert I may have heart issues in the future.
For the past week or so I have been having increasing episodes of ventricular bigeminy. I know this because I feel every pvc I have and in this case I feel slow hard thumps for 10-30 seconds or more and my pulse feels very slow (maybe 40bpm). I feel it happening several times an hour on and off for days. I called my cardiologist who said not to worry since my heart is structurally normal. Has anyone experienced this and gotten similar reassurance that everything is ok? I am worried because I used to have these episodes maybe once a month and for the past week it’s been happening on and off all day long. I feel that it may be hormonally related since I have been noticing more pvcs and now bigeminy the week before my period.
I was offered to take metropolol if the symptoms become too bothersome but haven’t. I know it can cause weight gain and I want to see if I can help myself without the meds. I began doing more cardio (jogging 3 times a week) and also take 600mg magnesium and am trying to increase my potassium intake since it was found to be low during one of the ER visits. So far the “holistic approach” hasn’t been too successful but I am going to be more consistent with the potassium rich foods. It is very difficult to get 5,000mg a day. Any advice on things to try or where to go from here are welcomed. Should I have another Holter done because of the new frequency?  I would rather avoid going back to the doctor if I can since it has also become a source of anxiety for me. I have gotten reassurance from the doctor and am pretty sure what I’m experiencing are pvcs and bigeminy. I’m just having a hard time dealing with the feeling of thumping in my chest and worried that it is getting worse. Thanks!
