Is a PVC something dangerous?

Yesterday afternoon I began to feel this fluttering sensation in my theist. As the day went on it continued and around 9 pm I began to feel that my heart was sort of skipping a beat. It was a weird sensation that kept happening so I headed to the ER by midnight. I stayed there until 4 am where they l let me go with what they called Premature ventricular beats, I don't know if the two are the same but the doctor kept saying PVCs. Anyway I am to follow up with a cardiologist but am not able to go for another week. My question is am I in danger of anything occurring to me in this week? I've read that these things could lead to VF which could be fatal and has me extremely worried.

You can google 'premature ventricular beats' or PVCs (they are the same thing).  What you will read is that sometimes they can be indicators of bad stuff, but the thing is that everyone--everyone--gets PVCs.  It's really like a heart hiccup.  In general, only highly sensitive folks actually feel them and are really bothered by them.

If your doctors are not worried about them, and if you do not suffer actual faintness, nausea, *crushing* chest pain, inability to walk short distances or up a few stairs, and you do *not* experience a drenching cold sweat, you are probably going to be just fine between now and your cardiologist appointment.
