Misbeats

Iam a 48 yers old male. For the past one year i am having slightly high BP. Now i am having mis beats at times with no other symptom. I have no other  problem as  Diabetes, any other heart disease. What could be the reason of my Mis Beats and which type of tests do i need to go ahead with. Thanks praveen Gupta, India

Just adding to the mix here...if you speak with your doc you should ask them to order you a 24 hour monitor is they are happening on a regular basis or at least a 72 hour monitor.  You wear it home and it records anything that is off with your heart.  Its like wearing a small ekg on your chest with a small box similar to a walkman.  If it is just palps they are pretty common in the human race and simple lifestyle changes can help you to keep them at bay AFTER you have seen a doc and they like pooyan says have examined you to make sure that there is nothing else going on with you.

By misbeats I'll assume you mean palpitations. Your doctor should check to make sure it's nothing serious. It's for your doctor to decide on what tests to do but I think he would probably do an ECG. Because you willmmost likely nt have mis beats when you're at the doctors he may also wish to do a 24 ECG to try and catch your symptoms when they happen. My doctor seems un concerned with my palpitations, I think provided there is no underlying problem palpitations can often be things we just have to learn to live with.
