PVCs and cardiomyopathy

Was diagnosed with idiopathic cardiomyopathy early this year; EF ca. 30 -35%; this has apparently increased to 50-55% on optimum therapy.  EKG monitoring in cardiac rehab showed consistent (every session) but 'rare' PVCs with some bigeminy and trigeminy. Was told by my doctor's office that a recent Holter showed rare PVCs and PACs 'of no clinical significance'.  No numbers were given. My heart is not enlarged and I have no symptoms from PVCs.  Given the underlying cardiomyopathy, are the PVCs of any significance, especially in predicting risk of adverse events? Does this need any monitoring in the future or can I forget about them? [they do seem reduced with Beta blockers]

I would agree with deedle and your doctors also.  Occasional pvcs and pacs are pretty are fairly common in the general population.

Terrific increase in your EF!!  Are you taking any medications for the CM?

Sorry to hear about your cardiomyopathy but great that your EF has improved so dramatically. I would be inclined to believe your doctor that they are of no clinical significance since most people in the general population would have rare (or more than rare) PVCs on a holter.
