Question about heart rate

Hi there.  I have had tachycardia for a long time which is normally around 120 bpm but last night I took my pulse just before I went to bed and it was at 150 bpm.  This was at resting.   I had an ECG a while ago which was normal.  Also I have lost a bit of weight recently and can now feel my pulse in my abdomen just below the ribcage.  I am 29,  am taking quetiapine as without I don't sleep at all and weigh around 90kg.  Just wondering if I should do anything about this?

The original tachycardia is just me as it has been like that for longer than I have had meds.
But I will check with my doc as if it is quiet around me can be annoying.

I googled the quetiapine. tachycardia side effect seems fairly low for it, but there is a bit above placebo.

Thanks for the reply.
I have had it checked out years ago but they were not concerned after the ECG results.  The 150 was around 20 mins after I had my meds, does anyone know if quetiapine can cause this?

I think you need to talk with your doctor about a medication to lower you heart rate.  Beta Blocker is one commonly used and rather effective in controlling my atrial fibrillation driven heart rate.  My sleep HR goes into the 50s and up and about is under 100, perhaps in the 70s if sitting and typing, like now.

A resting HR over 100 should be treated, I understand.
