more test?

Hey guys, just joined. So a little bit more then a year ago I went to the hopstial for heart palpitations, flutters, etc. I had an EKG, x-rays and blood work done. They did not find anything. Shortly after that my symptoms went away but for the past couple of months they have come back. Im getting really annoyed with it. My main question is should I go back and get more test done or should I just try to figure out ways of trying to deal with it on my own?

You may evetually get to the point that you just have to deal with it. But for now, it might be worth getting an explanation for it. Palpitations can be caused by disorders that are not even heart related.I believe it makes sense to start with a thorough internist, or as suggested in the above post, you can also see a cardiologist.  Sorry your symptoms came back. I can certainly relate to this frustration...

Do you have a family doctor? That might be the first place to go. If you can, seeing a cardiologist is also an option. Depending on your age, family history, and previous test results, coupled with a current examination, it might be decided to repeat the tests already done, or do additional tests, such as an stress/echo test, Holter monitor, etc.
