UBEARABLE ECTOPIC BEATS

Hi, I am a 38 yr old female. I underwent cardiac ablation 3 yrs ago for svt (av nodal re-entrant). At the time the doctor admitted to a mistake but now it is like banging my head on a brick wall to get explanations for my symptoms. My heart rate throughout the day ranges from 42bpm to around 160bpm, I get frequent bouts of dizziness/breathlesness/thick head feeling.  Also very disturbingly, days of ectopic/pvcs/pacs every 2-3 seconds lasting hours.  Last night these beats continued for up to 40 beats each minute without a break, for 3 hours! I am desperate and at my last cardiologoy visit, the consultant told me 'to get a life' and that 'I was bored and making up my symptoms.' However these heart rhythm have been recorded on an ecg.  Where can I go from here? Anyone else  the same boat? Please help, I am desperate to get something done as I cannot work like this.  Thank you...............

Thanks bumble72 for your reply.  You're right I think I need a second opinion.  As regards ablation for avnrt - go ahead, they bizzarely  fixed my svts! The doctor doing the ablation didn't actually say what he'd done, just there was panic and afterwards he said 'don't worry you can either have it done again or a pacemaker fitted!' He was a junior and now there is a cover up. Yikes....

But very good luck with yours, take care.....

Sorry I can't help but if i were you I'd ask to see a different consultant.  What you're describing certainly doesn't sound right - you need reassurance also.
Just out of interest you mentioned that the doctor admitted to a mistake - what was the mistake?

I have avnrt, drug therapy is not working so need an ablation.

Good luck.
