Decaf coffee still has as much as 40% of the caffeine as regular coffee!!!!  My cardio said to avoid it.  Well, I don't but when the PVC's are getting ahead of my head and I need to get them to chill out again I stop all coffee intake.

Then, when all that settles again, I do the completely wrong and very human thing of starting up with the coffee again.

It's a tough one to kick!!!

I mix it up. I have an espresso machine I bought back in those carefree days before I became an angst-ridden PVC'er. I keep regular and decaf espresso on hand and I'll mix a little bit of regular in with the decaf depending on how I feel. In the am I take my blood pressure and if its ok and I'm not having any palps before my beta blocker kicks in, I'll add more regular to the mix. I find though that every day is different. Today, feeling adventurous I had two full shots of full strength, and only had a couple of blips all day. Some days of just decaf or no coffee at all I'll be palping all day. So go figure.

If you're able to stay away from caffeine, more power to ya. I've cut down a lot but I'm a java aficionado (junkie) ;-)
