When I was first diagnosed with afib they put me on it. I'm with tom h...it scared me. But I persisted and kept taking it. Went into bigemeny and doctor took me off of it. Now I just take a beta blocker.
I have been on Sotalol for a couple of years and at 160mg 2x a day it zapped me of any energy and I was very wheezy and could not climb stairs or walk uphill. That being said it is so far the only med that keeps me out of A-fib. After my second ablation I cut my dosage to zero and back in A-fib I went. I now get by on 80mg 2x a day and have almost all my energy and slight wheeziness but have remained A-fib free for 14 months. To me this is better than the alternative. :)
precha here, thanks Tom for your reply, and yes the practicioner is going very slowly, and so far no problems except a massive head ache, which I dealt with by using Heal and Sooth caps, and total relief. Great to get your reply, and yes I tried your med, but it failed to give me the desired results. GOD BLESS.
