altenolol

I have been having palpitations for some time now, they are driving me crazy.  My doctor just recently prescribed 25mg of altenolol, however, I am concerned because my blood pressure is low. What side effects can I expect?  Can I take half of the pill and still get benefits?  Has anyone had a bad experience with that drug?  I now have an event monitor as my doctor wants to track to see if altenolol offers any help. Thanks!

Hi, I have been on Ternomin (Atenolol) for the past 2 years for ectopic heart beats, I take I quarter of a tabled  which is 71/2 ml each morning and it has helped me. I have had no side effects at all, and find it lessens my ectopic heart beats and extra or skipped beats very well.

I am 4 days on Atenolol and I had to cut down from 50mgs to 25mgs. It really slowed me down at night. My heart rate dropped to 38bpm the second night. Last night I took 25mgs and I slept better. I noticed my dreams are vivid, and I am having abit of chest pain.
