Heart Palpatations and Blood Pressure

I have hypertension and  5 days ago I had a heart cath procedure. They found two arteries bocked 40%. Decided no need to do anything at present time. I have always kept my B/P around 130/ 70 with medication. Since the heart cath. it has been high even with meds. and I have a terrible heart flutter. Now B/P is averaging between 189/92
to 182/ 85 I am worried. That something maybe wrong after the Heart Catharization.

p.s. Here's an abstract on the paper, search on some of the info in the abstract and you will find it.

November 3, 2009 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), Dr Justin MS Lee (University of Oxford, UK) and colleagues report that 2 g of modified-release nicotinic acid (Niaspan, Abbott Laboratories) daily, on top of statins, resulted in a 1.64 mm2 reduction in carotid wall area on MRI, compared with placebo, in patients with vascular disease and low HDL.

Well, when you worry your blood pressure will go up.  It feeds on itself.

There's a new study out that showed Niacin can reverse stenosis (blockages).  The intake was rather high but it's now clinically proven.  A statin, like liptor or zocor can also reverse stenosis.  If I were you I'd be thinking about all the ways the blockages can be reversed and attack it from all fronts.  Medication, niacin, diet, exercise, lose weight if you have to.  Smoking is a huge risk factor too, if you smoke, you need to stop now.  When it somes to CAD, omega 3 oils are also helpful.
