Since you do not have a doctor may I ask how do you know you have low potassium? Be careful with assuming it, your potassium could go to high.
I'm hypokalemic too. If you don't have prescription potassium, the best way to increase your potassium is through food sources.
Banana's, orange juices, papaya's, baked potatoe with skin, yogurts, tomatoes, brazil nuts, sweet potatoe's, broccoli, hamburger, peanuts with skin, and cantaloupe, are all very high in potassium. Papaya is #1 with 935 mgs for 1 large. Other sources not so high, but still rich in potassium are;
Apple
Apricot, fresh
Dates, dried
Grapes, green seedless
Peach
Pineapple, fresh
Prune Juice, unsweetened
Raisins
Strawberries, fresh
Asparagus, cooked
Artichoke
Cabbage, cooked
Celery, raw
Corn, on cob
Green Beans
Green Pepper
Kidney Beans, canned
Lettuce, iceburg
Lettuce, romaine
Onion
Peas, fresh cooked
Pumpkin, canned
Spinach, steamed
Bread, wheat
Egg
Peanut Butter, natural
Rice, brown
Rice, white
Salmon, canned
Hope that helps.
