irregular heart beats

i am 40 years old. 4 years ago i suffered from regular palpitaions reaching 140 bpand was prescribed concor 5mg twice daily and cipralex 10mg half a tablet /12 hours. i experienced another attack 2 years later.a doctor prescribed betacor 80mg twice daily. the day i started this drug i felt irregular heart beats lasting a few seconds my doctor said that it's ok. i experienced these attacks again occasionally. the doctor asked me if i felt dizzy or chest pain . i didn't.
i did a thyroid function lab test (norma), holter (normal), ECG (normal), echo (normal). I had another check wih another doctor, he said my BP is 150/90 and this is the cause of my palpitations. I am now on betaloc 100mg half a tablet / 12 hours and atacand 8mg at lunch time. my BP is average 130/80 and my HR is average 70 bpm. I still suffer from these attacks of irregular heart beats lasting fo seconds and without any other symptoms. another doctor advised me to do an upper GIT endoscopy or barium meal. I am very much confused ...i really don't know what's my problem - the attacks occur any time without any triggering cause but when they occur i really worry and become afraid. thank u for ur time.

I agree, looks like the tests came back good. Try to stay busy when they hit, and try not to stress to much(easier said than done)
Good luck!

It sounds like you have been thoroughly checked-out and no heart disease was found, that's good, try to remember that when you feel frightened.

If I read your post correctly, your only rhythm symptom is an occasional period of a high HR.   Did your doctor(s) describe that as tachycardia or something else?  Was PVC or PAC mentioned, or AFib or Flutter?

Again, sounds like you should be just fine, but don't let you BP go up, keep taking your medication...unless you doctor says you don't need it any more.
