The bradycardia may be why you're dizzy, if it started after the meds that could have made it worse - I can't take BB's because of the side effects like that and it lowers my bp/hr dangerously.
Without knowing what type of arrhythmia you have, can't say much on it and if your dr says it's not dangerous then it's probably not...I would get a copy of my tests just to know what you're dealing with and know what's going on =)
i had a pacemaker put in because of irregular heart beat. my heart beat was too slow. i was on topral (a beta blocker) they took me off of it. the pacemaker helps with my heart beats and dizziness and no energy. i started having the palpatations before they put the last pacemaker in. i do feel dizzy at times. i discussed this with my dr. and they are going to put me back on topral after they find out if the leads have moved. he said it isn't dangerous. thanks again.
I've had arrhythmia's & dizziness/fainting that went undiagnosed from age 9 to age 42, many dr's said it was "nothing" and don't worry about it or it was stress related. I had a TTT and found my dizziness, lightheadedness & fainting were cardiac related and my heart was actually stopping during my fainting spells, which is a very rare thing.
There are alot of other causes of dizziness and may be due to your autonomic nervous system (ANS), which includes the vasovagal nerve and very common.
Not sure why you have a pacemaker? - could these be related? Do you also have bradycardia? did this start after your PM was implanted? you need to call and tell your dr what symptoms you're having since it's only been a week or so since you had this done.
here's a great link - http:// www.cccgroup. info/neurosyn. asp - my cardiologist said dizziness/fainting should always be checked out by a dr just in case - if you haven't ask what is causing yours and see if they can find out - a tilt table test can yield some answers =)
Does the dizziness coincide with the palps? I have both although they are not related. Big difference.
Have you been diagnosed with a heart arrythmia? Have you seen a caridiologist?
please call your doctor =)
